This mago was crafted and used ceremonially in Maningrida. Wonderful traditional accoustics, very responsive and easy to play.
Having a very good resonance thanks to its thin walls throughout and excellent construction, this is an outstanding instrument which was, understandably, cherished by ceremonial players in West Arnhem Land.

Like many other ceremonial yidaki, entire instrument is taped up. Excellent bass response to the voice when playing tongued accents and very well balanced depth to match. Very responsive instrument.
